I determined it was time to build Empower's 1st intranet after spending an hour searching Sharepoint for a template that should have been easily findable. Dubbed Breakfast First (one of Empower's values), it was built to be a one-stop-stop for all information including:

• Agency communication: Company newsletters and announcements

• Agency information: Office information, benefits, perks, and events

• People finder: Who's on each team, where they are located, read their profile 

• Standard operating procedures, template, process and workflow details

• Training modules and how-to documentation

• Thought leadership and client case studies

• Photo galleries of company and culture events

Building the intranet required 4 months of aggregating, reviewing, and updating content across all of our departments, then building the appropriate site structure & tagging to enable people to easily find content. 

I continue to manage the intranet, ensuring documentation is up to date, old content is removed, and anything new that's worth sharing company-wide is added to the site.
